Community Involvement

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

At CENTURY 21 Coleman-Hornsby we believe in giving back to the community. Throughout the year we enjoy participating in a number of activities. In fact, in 2006 we raised over $15,000 for charity.

Some of the events include:

Easter Seals

Easter Seals has been a special cause of Century 21 Real Estate LLC; in fact it is one of the largest corporate contributor to the organization, giving over $70 million since 1979. We at CENTURY 21 Coleman-Hornsby participate in the Easter Seals Walkathon and the Easter Seals Telethon, which benefit the Will-Grundy Easter Seals. We raise money and then walk in their 2 1/2 mile Walkathon. We also raise money and answer phones for the Telethon. Relay for Life, which benefits the American Cancer Society. We participate by raising funds and walking in the Relay walk, which takes place in the summer at the local high school. Our team commits to walking around the tract continuously for 12 hours. If you would like to donate to our Relay Team for American Cancer Society, please contact us.

Festival of Trees, which benefits Grundy Community Volunteer Hospice and the Grundy County Historical Society. We help raise funds and then work the actual event.

We Care/Salvation Army. By Ringing the Bell in front of the local Wal Mart during the Christmas holildays, we help collect money for this worthy group. We also have sponsored children for Christmas through this same organization.

We also take part in local parades: the Grundy County Corn Festival, the Coal City Octoberfest parade, the Carbon Hill Homecoming parade and the Dwight Harvest Days parade. We use a float, agents and usually Nester too!

Each year the Chamber sponsors a Business Showcase, and each year we have a booth where we get to meet with people from the community.
